Poetry: Anything is possible

by Tania Mcloughlin

Created on: April 03, 2009   Last Updated: May 17, 2009

Drifting, sailing, skating along,

on the wind, waves and ride of life-

catching, twisting, leaning to,

fro-ing this way and that.

The starting post was grey and bleak,

drizzling cold raindrops on the meek.

Choosing, righting, navigating the way,

- watching cloud forms change.

Standing tall, folding down,

making decisions to ride the swell.

Anything might be by the end of the storm,

surviving, alive, albeit worn.

Tickles and sprinkles of suns rays-

warm the numb, ice cold touch,

calming, easing forgetting,

receiving golden perspective.

Momentarily, enough, to give dry light all around,

leaving the cold a memory, a puddle on the ground.

Coloured rainbows and warm sunshine-

- don't mean no rainy days.

With memory on your back and deep seeded regret,

a new phase where choices are yours to make,

chase, fight, fall, scream, hurt, take charge wide awake.
