Proverbs 18:22:Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.

As you see here, it is not the responsibility of the woman to look for a husband.

It is his job. The man's job.

I am a single Christian female, age 45 and never married. And until a few years ago, thought I had to find the man I would marry. But I was wrong.

I am only supposed to do the bidding of God, and see to His house and be busy doing the work of Kingdom-building. It will be that while I am "about my Father's business" ( Luke 2:49 (Whole Chapter) And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business? ), He (God) will unite me and the man designed specifically for me.

Many of us, single women over 30, feel that we are not complete if we do not have a husband. But I say to you, if you are in God, you are complete. John 15:7 (Whole Chapter) If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. These are God's words, not mine.

It goes back to Adam and Eve.

He reached down to earth, grabbed some clay, molded (fashioned) a figure and it was man. He later put man (Adam) into a deep sleep and removed a bone from within and created wo-man (a man with a womb). Adam even declared her as to be his and his alone ( Genesis 2:23 (Whole Chapter) And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

This means that for every man designed by God, is the woman designed from him - explicitly for him.

So many relationships fail because men and women fail to put God in the equation. We want it our way or no way at all. But let the smallest issue arise, then we want to blame God. If we would remember to put God first, and allow Him to order our steps - even in choosing mates, we will find fulfillment, joy and peace.

I never said it will be easy.

Before getting saved (giving my life to God and being saved from death and hell for eternity), I was known for sleeping around in my misguided attempts to find love. So for me to suddenly give all of that up and remain celibate as I have for the last eight years, was, and still is a hardship. But it is one I'll lovingly endure because I know God has a man made just for me and one day we will be together and be able to enjoy each other in His spirit.

So I encourage all women, if you're not married...enjoy it. Enjoy yourself. Enjoy your life.

Dedicate yourself/life to God and allow Him to guide you... Psalm 37:4 (Whole Chapter) Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Where does love begin? In the heart.

If you do not have a relationship with God, today is a good day to start one, and He will give the relationship He desires for you to have with the man He designed and desires for you.

Yes, I am single. I am also saved and satisfied in all I am. And anything God gives me is icing on my cake...even my wedding cake.

Get the "real" hookup! Forget those websites and matchmakers out there...Give God a try.
