Article title: Should girls be allowed in the Boy Scouts?
Since there has been too much controversial discriminatory affairs against girls not being allowed in the Boy Scouts, I think that girls and and women with disabilities should be allowed in the Boy Scouts. I have been in and out of the Scouts, and it has been very difficult for the BSA in the National Capital Area to allow me in the Boy Scouts because of my gender and my age. I am 53 years old, and I am sick and tired of calling the BSA in the National Capital Area and bothering them all the time, because every time I have called the BSA in the National Capital Area, they have always called my husband and told him to tell me not to call us anymore. Therefore, this is what they quote to my husband, "Tell your wife to stop calling us, because if your wife keeps calling us, we will sue her for harassment." This is not the way I want it, being sued for harassment by the Boy Scouts of America. In fact, I would lose everything that I work for; no matter what they are.
I have always wanted to be a Scout in my adult hood, throughout my 50s, 60sm and on with no age limit required. What I want is to see my dream of being a Scout through the Boy Scouts of America in this whole entire United States of America as what Scouts Canada is doing since their Scout organization has become Coed, and there are always something in the Scouts Canada for the Girls/Women with Disabilities, and that includes me to do. For real, I am not walking around in fantasyland making this up, because my husband has been telling me to let the Scouts go and sometimes he has been doing this to me about the Girl Scouts. This has been always a severe problem with me in reference to me becoming a Scout, and I am sick and tired of this matter going on and on and on every single year. This problem has never stopped yet, and that is why I am not calling anyone in the Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scout USA and the National Capital Area.
I was a Girl Scout when I was a young girl and growing up, and was an assistant Den Leader for Cub Scout Pack 658 then I was a Boy Scout Instructor Scouter for Boy Scout Troop 658. However, there has been too many problems that I have been having with the Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scouts USA for so long throughout the Northern Virginia and the Colonel District and throughout the United States of America. We can't keep letting this go on and on and on and on continuously like this. Every girl and woman with disabilities over the age 18 and up are entitled to be a Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. I know this for a fact, we need this problem with adults with disabilities and girls genderwide to be stopped, so that we can all be Scouts no matter what our age and gender is, and God is speaking to you through me.
Do you happen to agree with me on this gender and age issue? Everyone is entitlted to earn merit badges on their sleeves and sashes and to wear the same Scout uniforms like everybody else. I am writing you this ariticle on "Should Girls/women who have disabilities be in the Boy Scouts?" The answer I will give you is a big "YES", because I am not pulling this out of a hat. Thank you very much for letting me have a voice on this very important Scouting Topic. How do you feel about me being a Scout in the Boy Scouts? If you will please contact me and let me know okay.
