DESPERATE TO BE SEEN - THE SNOW FIRE!
Deliciously dancing unseen in the gloom,
Sweet taffy ooze of desire.
Yearning and churning,
To touch and to taste,
The fool, the naive,
The Snow Fire.
Secretly searching in quiet despair,
Bittersweet sighs of surrender.
Whirling and tumbling,
To reach and to know,
The cool, the aloof,
The Dissenter.
Fragrantly flushing in wide-eyed regard,
Innocence collides ever coyer
Crowding and swooning
To have, and to keep.
The proud, the acute
The Destroyer.
Once in the light, too close to the heat,
A blood-rushing spark in the pyre.
Flung from a fist,
To become broken mist,
The regrettable dance,
Of Snow Fire.

Poetry: Starving for attention

Attention is not on every person's menu
Judged too quickly because of a difference
A fair shake so rarely given
Nasty thoughts
Rescued Puppy
Alone now, lying on a strange softness,
Though sounds and scents tell of others near.
Others like me I can

I silently glide,

Stacked up in heaps,
Like dry blocks of wood,
millions of voices,
would cry if they could.
They looked to the West
For some
by Olivia Kay
People pass by as if I'm invisible,
Not a kind word, not even a glance in my direction,
Racing by, too busy to notice, too
