People pass by as if I'm invisible,
Not a kind word, not even a glance in my direction,
Racing by, too busy to notice, too busy to care,
Day after day, it's always the same,
They're always talking, but never to me,
I am merely existing, with little purpose, little meaning,
All I ask is for acknowledgement,
Just a nod of the head or a kind hello would do just fine,
I feel so alone, so neglected,
Please, please pay attention to me.
