Difficult people, who are you?
What are you hiding, and hiding from who?
You appear indifferent and so distant
You seem withdrawn and so unhappy
Your ways are cruel and your words demeaning
What it is you are hiding, and hiding from who?
The layers of indifference are covering the real you
I see a little flame of kindness burning inside you
What wild winds have tried to hurt you?
What past experiences keep rocking you?
What you fear, and who hurt you?
Difficult people don't hide from you.
Difficult people come remove the the mask of fear
Let the flickering flame of love come alive
Fuel it with your tender love for you
Let your friends in and help you too
Difficult people let me help you too.
