Poetry: Broken heart

by Mitchell Beanland

Created on: April 02, 2009   Last Updated: April 03, 2009

Every version of the truth you told,
took you to the earliest grave.
Further furnished with every lie you sold.
I bought every word,
but words lose weight,
and they fell from grace with you.
I saw right through you,
as transperant as you became,
a shadow of a former reputation.
Its no wonder I didn't see you,
when I filled the hole in my heart.
