The woman of the past was many things: throughout most of history she has been a quiet but powerful presence, faithfully supporting her man and raising her children, dreaming of a better future for them all. Early in the 20th century her man went off to war & she had to take his place in many aspects of life. She fought hard for equality, and the woman of today is accomplished, strong, confident, and powerful.

The woman of the future, the woman you want to be, is older, because modern life allows her to be. She is strong, fit and healthy, knows how to look after her body and is proud of it. She can choose whether and when to begin a family, rather than having to beat her biological clock. She is able to admit without embarrassment to being mature, being confident that she, like a fine vintage wine, will only improve with age.

The woman of the future is wiser, because she has experienced so much. She has had the benefit of education, equality, a world with instantaneous communication and fast travel. She has friends in every continent, and access to the accumulated wisdom of millions of women like herself. She works hard at understanding herself, and those around her, in order to build a better society.

The woman of the future is absolutely stunning because she has confidence. She stands straight and tall, can look the world in the eye without flinching, and is unafraid to communicate her needs and desires. At the same time she is gentle and tender-hearted, responding sympathetically to the plight of those less fortunate than herself, reaching out in friendship and compassion. She is aware of her femininity, her softer qualities, and revels in them.

How can you become the woman of the future, this paragon of all the virtues? Does she seem an impossible dream, an unreachable goal? Begin by taking stock of who you are. Make a list of all your good points, whether physical, intellectual, practical or spiritual. Ask your friends to help you out. They will be able to identify your positive qualities far more easily than you! Listen to them, let your confidence grow. Acknowledge that the ups and downs of life have taught you wisdom. Accept your years of experience. Be confident in who you are and hold your head high, because you are beautiful.
