It is very easy to get angry at the thought of 9/11, and even easier to pick a side of the argument. therefore in this passage I will try my best to stay in a neutral mind set and make a equal argument for both sides of this war.
Iraq/Iran:
I can imagine that after 9/11 they were expecting a battle. So it might not have come as a huge surprise that President Bush crossed the sea into Iraq, however when our troops didn't move on into Iran which is where the weapons of mass destruction were said to be. They started to get more than suspicious of us and maybe a little hostel. In all fairness they were told that we would pass through only to get into Iran. Not stay for five years and have a war with them. However does this excuse them from their actions (NO NOT IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM). I understand how they could feel that we ourselves were a dictator by telling them that the way they lived for centuries was wrong and they need to become a Democracy. That would make me angry to.
Bush/US/UN:
Bush may not have made all the right decisions in this war, but Bush doesn't get his info from Yahoo or Google he has highly trained people that tell him what, when, where and who. So to say that Bush made a stupid mistake is a mistake he only acted off his Intel. He reacted to 9/11 a time when many Americans and diplomats wanted action and dare I say revenge for the 9/11 victims. So Bush went to war for the 9/11 victims, the fear of weapons of mass destruction, and the suffering Iraqis and Iranies. Five years later we have a country that doesn't understand why we are there in the first place, and I say to you because you asked Bush to go and fight for the lives of the 3,245 men, women, and children that died in a suicidal act. That a group of self proclaimed Freedom Fighters did in the name of Jesus. There was a time when people were angry because we weren't doing anything, and now those same people think we have no business there.
A wise man once said "They're are no allies in war only those who see self preservation, or those who see it beneficial to watch from their throne as you tear your self apart."
