The Lord said to the Lady
"Shall we go to the Fair?"
The Lady she responded
"Whatever for my dear?"
The Lord sat down to dinner
But his Lady didn't come
She said that that fish was something
to which she never could succumb
The Lord walked round his acres
He enjoyed the sun and air
His lady in the parlour sat
Lounging on a chair
The Lord retired to billiards
The gentlemen played and joked
They couldn't understand their wives
and the boredom they invoked
