We are in control
But we can't be controlled
We're paid in full
We are fulfilled
Our yesterdays
Are your tomorrows
We wear big wide brimmed hats
And we drink to our sorrows
We've labored the fields
So wildflowers come due
We eat dust in the wind
Walk the backs of our shoes
Come bow down dear ladies
And fill with delight
For the young who will follow
Will bring us requite.
