Poetry: Wild & free

by Pietro Sirianni

Created on: April 02, 2009

Admire me only from a distance as you would a flame.

There is nothing to be gained by my capture but scars.

Do not become lost in times great riddle.

Do not want what can not be had.

Such dramatic flare, such tragedy.

Seducing, enticing, using ancient wisdom and hackneyed cliche's.

A snare set completely by accident by that which can not be trapped.

To love it truly is to never wish it captured.

So stand in who you are and dream "What if?"
