Although having a website of your own will give you more opportunities to earn, you don't need a blog or website of your own to make money online. In fact, you don't even need a product to sell. All you need to get started making money online today is a bit of free time and the willingness to try new things.
One of the easiest ways to make money on the Internet without having a website of your own is to sell items through services like Amazon.com and eBay. Amazon's marketplace makes it simple to list common or popular items you'd like to sell, such as books or DVD's. eBay, on the other hand, is better used for selling unique, one-of-a-kind items and collectibles like model trains.
Selling items through those sites isn't the only way to make money online, though. CafePress allows users to upload photographs they've taken or images they've created and use them to design customized t-shirts, mugs, magnets, and more. Zazzle works on the same concept as CafePress, but offers some different product options, including stamps and skateboards.
Even if you don't have something to sell, you can make money online. There is a growing number of "get paid to" sites on the Internet, including popular sites like CashCrate and Treasure Trooper. These sites pay you for completing free offers and signing up for trial offers. They even offer bonuses for referring other users to the site. While it is possible to make money from these sites, it usually requires a lot of activity, and keeping track of trial offers that require a valid credit card number to complete can be a hassle.
If signing up for trial offers isn't for you, you may want to take a look at marketing research sites like Greenfield Online and Pinecone Research. These sites offer monetary rewards to their panel members, and you can earn money from them when you successfully qualify for and complete a survey about products or services. While it can be hard to qualify for certain surveys because of strict demographic requirements, the rewards can be well worth it-some of the more in-depth surveys may pay $30 or more for your time.
Another increasingly popular way to make money online is to participate on sites that offer some form of revenue sharing. MyLot.com is a discussion forum that pays its members for participating. You can earn by starting and responding to discussions, posting photos to the interest categories, or by completing writing and research assignments (called "Tasks"). Similarly, MyPage 5 is a social network that offers its members set amounts for things such as posting new blog entries, uploading photos, and commenting on other members' blogs and profiles. And sites like Associated Content and Helium allow writers to earn upfront payments and a bit of residual income for the articles they've written.
There are countless ways to earn money online without a website or blog. All it really requires is a bit of patience and hard work. Unfortunately, there are a lot of scams out there, too. Be wary of any websites that require you to pay them anything-you should never have to purchase a membership or upgrade your account to make money from a legitimate source!
