Danbury, CT is a great area to find something to do for a first date. In addition to having being plenty to do, Danbury's location is a convenient one. This is especially true if you and your date don't live in the same town, but both reside in the vicinity.

Danbury is located off various exits of I-84, and sits nearby the New York State border which makes it a well-situated location for both Connecticut and New York residents, or if you and your date live in separate states. If you reside in or around Danbury, CT, there are many terrific places you can go on a first date.

As you decide where you want to take your date, it is a good idea to figure out what kind of date you and your intended would enjoy. For instance are you planning a romantic time or will it be a casual date?

If you're looking for something lively, you may want to consider Molly Darcy's. This facility is a restaurant which turns into an energetic nightclub in the latter part of the evening. You can take your date out for dinner and then stay for some live music and dancing. Even when there isn't live music or the band is on a break, there is a jukebox cranking out the tunes for the crowd.

This is a fantastic location for a first date, but once the night life heats up, there isn't a lot of room for quiet talking, so if intimacy of conversation is on your evening's agenda, you might want to consider another location. However, if you're looking to enjoy a fun evening out with your date, this is a great place!

For a more traditional first date that includes dinner and a movie, you can dine at the Danbury Fair Mall in one of the restaurants or choose one of the many restaurants located on Federal Road.

After dinner you can take your date to Loew's theatre on International Drive for a movie. The theatre is located right off Federal Road which makes a pretty convenient location. The theatre is large and offers several screens to give you a variety of movies to select the ideal date movie. There are also a few restaurants and pubs located in the vicinity if you want to have a nightcap after your show.

Another location you can either make the center of your date or as an extra stop off after a movie or dinner is the Boston Billiards Club on Backus Road, conveniently located near the Danbury Mall. There is a large bar area where you can sit and chat over a nightcap, or you can relax and shoot a game of pool if your date is up for the challenge.

If your date is a daytime event and you're looking for someplace a little quiet and intimate where you can go for a walk, a picnic or just sit and talk alongside a beautiful setting, you might want to consider visiting Squantz Pond State Park. The park is located off Route 39 and is a great place to sit and talk to get to know one another. The backdrop is perfect for a romantic setting.

Danbury is full of different places you can go on your first date. You'll be pleasantly surprised of all the options you can find in the area. The key to any successful first date is to know what kind of date you want and then narrow down your options and find a place both you and your date will enjoy.
