What does the woman of the future look like? Is she conservative, confident, independent, and absolutely stunning? Absolutely. Long gone are the days of youthful ignorance and naivety, replaced by smart, savvy sophistication. The woman of the future knows what she wants and is willing to do what it takes to get it.

Who is this woman of the future? She is someone who easily balances her career ambitions with her need to connect with family and friends. She is the master of turning adversity into opportunity. To her, there are no glass ceilings or gender defined roles. She accepts both praise and criticism with dignity and grace. The confidence that she exudes in every aspect of her life comes from the wisdom she carries from the struggles of the women who came before her. She knows who she is and where she came from. She takes pride in her appearance because she is proud of who she has become. She is truly happy.

How can you become this woman? The transformation begins inside. Take stock in who you are. If you're not happy with what you see in the mirror, be strong enough and willing to change it. Take to heart the advice of your mother, grandmother, aunt or friend. This life is too short to make all the mistakes yourself. Never allow someone else to define who you are or what happiness means to you. Be willing to take chances, but never be reckless, especially in matters of the heart.

Become an inspiration to those around you, whether it's family or friends. Be supportive but not critical. Offer your experiences where you can, even if sometimes it's unwelcome, but don't be overbearing. Be gracious and kind and willing to learn from others. Don't be afraid to speak your mind, but understand that your perspective is one of many. Be tolerant of others' opinions and keep an open mind, they might have a view you hadn't previously considered. Never give up.

Life is a struggle. Nothing worth having, or being, comes easily. If you truly want something and are willing to work hard for it, you can achieve anything. Don't take anyone or anything for granted and know that while you are no better than anyone else, there is also no one else better than you.

So, who is this woman of the future? She looks just like you.
