Missing.
Needing.
Kissing.
Feeding...
Hungry hearts,
from months apart.
Empty bottles-
Broken hope.
Your mouth; My mouth,
shaping smoke.
Tears roll over,
voices choke.
The chips are down,
we go for broke.
In too deep without a line,
I breath "I miss you" in my wine,
as "Can I keep yous?" cloud my mind,
and I find lies to buy us time.
Chasing pills with liquid hate,
we exhale at an urgent rate.
You've got me now,
it's getting late.
Procrastinate, my bed can wait.
A blurred goodnight,
it's Hell again,
and back to living in pretend,
and drinking down my closest friend,
while waiting for the day to end.
Holding onto faulty text,
and trembling until I see you next.
I dream you, and I miss your face,
(cigarettes and ale-ish taste)
and curse this lengthy, painful space.
You're still my favorite saving grace....

You had such thoughts and dreams.
You had such plans.
With conviction

"I'll call you back when I can talk."
He sets the cell phone down.
Our promises again he'll mock,
As in his lies
I thought you were a gent,
but you're a bear-garden rambler.
Fraudster.
Crack-rope.
Yellow-bellied gambler.
