The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a museum that honors that history of Rock and Roll, at least that is what the title implies. The induction process is controlled by several individual people who aren't musicians, meaning that their judgements are based on taste and not the evolution or history of Rock and Roll in general.

"At one point Suzan Evans lamented the choices being made because there weren't enough big names that would sell tickets to the dinner. That was quickly remedied by dropping one of the doo-wop groups being considered in favor of a 'name' artist ... I saw how certain pioneering artists of the 50s and early 60s were shunned because there needed to be more name power on the list, resulting in 70s superstars getting in before the people who made it possible for them. Some of those pioneers still aren't in today". A quote from a former member of the nominations board.

It seems as if they are inducting artists based on popularity, not exactly as honorable as they may have led you to believe. Another thing that also points to this disturbing lack of integrity is that some bands, regardless of their place in the history of Rock and Roll, that have been affiliated with certain companies or certain board members got nominations, no questions asked. How is that legitimate?

Nominated artists also are coming from an alarming number of different genres, why? This is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and all, several voters on the nominations board didn't even submit their ballots in 2007 because they felt the artists were not worthy of being inducted!

The members of the nomination board who have the most power are obviously biased and greedy, this is not a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame would honor Rock and Roll. The name is contradictory to what it actually is, isn't it a bit ironic that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has less Rock and Roll in it than the ipod of a strict Jazz listener? If you needed any more evidence to suggest that this museum is in fact a joke, I would ask you to read the Sex Pistol's letter to the museum when they REFUSED to attend the ceremony because, and I quote, the museum was a "piss stain". The bands that the museum is trying to honor resent it, what does that say about the museum itself? Usually people do not react that way to a positive acknowledgement.
