I have never actually heard God say ANYTHING. Some people claim they can hear God through prayer and meditation exercises, but I, myself, have never. I DO know that there have been many things which I have prayed for and have not received, but I have never actually heard the word "no" echoing anywhere in the distance. I guess I just assumed that the answer was no, when I didn't get what I wanted (prayed for).
But what if it wasn't? What if the answer wasn't "no"? ...Remember what they say of assumptions. You know, ass out of you and me. What if, there were other reasons my prayers weren't being answered? I don't know what; any reasons. Does it really matter what they are? As long as the possibility exists there could be; I have to keep reminding myself that ...I never actually heard the word "no".
As I said, I have asked for a lot I've never received. That, in itself, says something. You would think, after the fourth or fifth time, I'd stop asking (praying) but, here today, I pray. Why IS that? ...Maybe we all just THINK we're praying for something we want, when whatever's going to happen is going to happen and in actuality, we're just praying for strength; "...and so it is written" and all that, you know what I mean? Maybe this all just has to play itself out. Kind of don't mess with the past, or you'll screw up the future type thing. We don't know. We think we know everything and assume the rest.
So what happens? People stop praying. They just give up, throw up their hands and walk away. They walk away from the one source of strength they may have. The one constant source, which has remained with them since the day they were born and will stay until the day that they die. All because they didn't get what they wanted, when they wanted it. They think that either God did not listen, could not hear them at all, or that they were just denied. Then, it's to hell with God. They, in every sense of the words, have no need for Him anymore.
I don't have any answers, all I have is faith; and I'm just saying that maybe there are REASONS for things we don't have the answers for; reasons we don't know nothing about. I'm saying that maybe we shouldn't put so much stock in our assumptions and put a little more in our faith.
So to answer the question, does God say "no"? Well, ...I'VE never heard Him say that.
