Poetry: Heartbreak

by H.Salinas

Created on: March 31, 2009

Oh my trampled soul, wearied by the war

I've fought and lost at such great cost

And left me with this scar

Oh my crumpled heart, you've such a will to win

A sore, sore sight yet still you fight

Beat me from within

Though death hangs near, I will not fear

My good soul I shall spend

For when day breaks my heart shall wake

And have love, in the end
