On Being Blue: Is There Any Other Hue?
I'm definitely "BLUE"!
And I will argue that until YOU are blue in the face.
No, I have nothing against red; I might even favor green at times.
However, blue is it for me.
You can rest azured' of that.
Blue', or some derivation of it, the most popular color.
Why, where would we be today if not for blue?
We have our blue moods',
can't resist the moon of Elvis' singing of a "Blue Moon of Kentucky"
(a bluegrass tune)
and our inimitable flag of red, white and blue'
to name just a few.
Oh, you girly - girls may rave of your pink
and other such soft, frilly colors.
But give me a man's hue blue.
Why, any true - blue man could claim none other. True?
Any blue-blood would agree.
It's a fact that fancy-named colors are expensiveblue is free.
I love roses of red in some cases,
crimson illusions displayed in Wedgwood blue vases.
What a sight to behold
- make the blue bold.
Can you just imagine a world without this trusty old hue?
How sad it would be and dreary, too.
Why half of men's ties would not even exist not to mention nice funeral suits all blue.
A sky other than blue?
Imagine fi you will?
What of gems like sapphires, diamonds, and the likes?
No blue in the world?
How could that be construed?
No azures, no cobalts, nor turquoises or indigos, too?
This most certainly could never - not ever - come true!
