What better way to have fun than with a good laugh? Comedies are one of the major box office sellers. Frankly, our society gets a good laugh at crude humor, at other people's pain, and just plain stupidity. A common topic for discussion, comedic films often arise in everyday conversations. Many times, quotes are taken from them. Not only does it get a conversation started, but also lightens the air in almost any atmosphere. Below I have listed a bunch of genuinely funny movies that just about anyone will get a good laugh from.

1) Without a Paddle:

A story of three friends that take a camping trip looking for treasure after the death of a childhood friend. Sean Greene and Matthew Lillard make a hilarious combination. Whether it's running from a bear, falling off a waterfall, or running through a marijuana field, the laughs keep coming. You are sure to double over in your seat.

2) Little Miss Sunshine:

A mixed up family takes a van trip to bring their less than average daughter to a beauty pageant. The homosexual uncle attempted suicide and just returned home. The father wants his daughter to be a perfect, Barbie doll child. The brother has taken a vow of silence. The mother is supportive of her daughter but the grandfather is somewhat unconventional with a little drug addiction. Nothing seems to go right in this comedy and is sure to keep you on your toes right to the end.

3) Rush Hour 3:

Jackie Chan and Chris Rock team up yet again in this hilarious film. Trying to find a secret list of names, the duo runs into numerous blunders and incidents. From getting in trouble at a martial arts studio, to getting attacked in a hotel room, the laughs keep getting better. With great acting and witty dialogue, this is a must see film.

4) I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry:

Adam Sandler and Kevin James make a great team in this side splitting film. Two straight firefighters pose as a homosexual couple in order to transfer Larry's (James) benefits to his children a year after his wife's death. They show the struggles of real homosexual couples, yet keep the laughs coming. From the reaction of the other firefighters, to finding a place to get married this is the perfect movie for just about anyone. The witty dialogue keeps the laughs coming and is sure to be quoted.

5) School of Rock

Jack Black takes an ordinary class of stuck up rich kids and turns them into a great, head banging band. Posing as a substitute teacher, Black takes over the class and changes the kids from conservative to outgoing. There are plenty of laughs along the way, as there always are when Jack Black is involved. Yes, it's a kid's movie, but definitely worth a watch.

So go ahead. Grab a friend, a bowl of popcorn, and laugh out loud at these great comedic films.
