Poetry: I hurt

by Steve Marshall

Created on: March 30, 2009

Pain, anger and hurting remains loved.

Love never hurts itself from being itself.
Hurting is the pain of love not being given.
Driven by pain, hurting shirks flowing.
Flowing past pain into love brings its relief.

Fold away hurts like a shirt in a box.
Create a neat pattern of love never old.
Jump to attention and refuse the pained pain.
God lives in pain as pained you live in him.

Hurting is an excursion towards the love of pain.
Pain to be real remains in the fast lane of love.
Created pain is not real pain, but messing with hurt.
God shirks nothing to love you when your berserk.

Love never honours the pain that is missing.
Love glorifies pain gone through as hurt.
Love brings pain as much as hurt brings itself.
Hurting is never so painful, as love moves away.

You hurt only because you still carry your pain.
Pain carried is never released into love.
Pain becomes hurt even as love shifts away
Return pain to love and hurting all disappears.
