Summer is one scary word to almost all women. It has nothing to do with the heat and the humidity; it has to do with how our bodies look. The average everyday woman is not a size zero; they barely are a size three. Like most women if you pushed out a child or children, years later that body will never be like when you were 18 years old. Everyday images of flawless bodies are in front of us and the media can make you feel out of shape if you are over one hundred pounds. If you are a little chubby for your size or like me: what the doctor calls morbidly obese (I call it flat out fat), it is time to get over your fears and have some fun in the sumer.
I, for one, know all too well how people feel about weight. I have always been big, I was a ten and a half pound baby, and after three children I am close to 400 pounds. My loved ones do not mind and I understand that, but there was a point in my life where I hated myself for being this fat. In recent years I have come to terms with my weight because my health will not allow me to change it right away and I know my weight will not melt off in a day. I can not exercise because of worn discs, swelling in my back, and other problems caused by bearing my three little angels. I refuse to put all the blame on child birth like most and this is not the time for my life story, I just want to relate to you how I came to love my body for what it is.
The first step that you need to do is to look in your wardrobe. You need to find clothes that flatter your body shape as well as it suits your personality. If you dress for you it makes you comfortable and you feel more self assured with your image. One of the best things a woman can do is make sure clothes express you and give you confidence. Another good step is getting a great fitting bra. No matter how big your breasts are, the wrong bra can be uncomfortable and give off an unattractive appearance in shirts. Go to the local Victoria's Secret or similar store and have the sales person give you your measurements and make a bra suggestion. If you are uncomfortable in a bra it can show in your posture. Poor posture leads to body pain and if you feel bad your confidence can suffer. I know it does not seem like a big deal, but the right bra gives you support and it can make you love your breasts for what they are.
The second thing I discovered is you need to take care of your physical and mental health. I know people say this all the time, but if you feel better on the inside your confidence
