The road I've traveled
As I gaze at the long lonely road ahead
I see red taillights that look like a cat with eyes that are red
Staring into my own eyes ready to pounce
Taking away every bit of my energy ounce after ounce.
The anger starts to rise in the depth of my soul
Like red-hot lava ready to flow
Then I gather all my angry thoughts into a small pile
And start to hide them in my mind after each slow-moving mile.
As I look up I see the lights of my comfort zone
I smile with a thought of my lovely home
As I tired of the sound of the stone and gravel
Down the road I've traveled.

The journey traveled has been a long road

Unexpected bends with unforeseen bumps
No choice

An attitude lived and a lesson unheard.
What's the allure, the gift
