Which is better, a Playstation 3 or a Wii? Most everyone I know chooses the Wii for one feature. In most games, you are literally involved in the game to a large extent. Our parents don't even mind us playing the Wii too much.
My friend owns a Playstation 3, and I own a Wii. Although the Playstation 3 has good graphics, games and more, I enjoy the Wii much more and have found that I hardly ever play other video game consoles any more.
Ever since I received the Wii, my view on video games has changed completely. I used to play video games only on Saturday mornings, when I got the chance, which was a rarity. Now, I play video games a lot more, and I actually get a workout by playing video games.
Everyone that I know says that they won't revert back to old consoles since they purchased or received the Wii. Although I still enjoy playing with my old game systems a little, I mainly spend time on my Wii.
There are some video games where it is just like playing a normal video game, but most of the games take skill and a whole lot of enthusiasm. Games such as Wii Music involve creativity and teach you the proper techniques for things like handling instruments. Of course, you could purchase an instrument, but still, it is better than pressing a, x, y, and b, or triangle, circle, square, and x. and using the control pad.
The Wii games involve proper technique and effort, while other video games fail to stand up to that high standard. The Wii is literally the new generation in gaming. It reverts back to children's natural playing instinct and is good for all ages. Although some adults say that they need too be mature and not play around, I have seen these type of adults playing the Wii. My school even owns a Wii for exercise breaks. Other video game systems need to improve their gaming experience.
An X-Box 360 might stand a slight chance at beating the Wii because of its amazing Wi-Fi connectivity, but it still does not offer as much as the Wii.
Some games are old school like some fighting games, where all you do is swing your arms as though you are flinging a sword, but most games involve actually learning the technique.
Even in Wii Sports, although it is slightly more semsitive then the real thing, there are different ways to move the controller and different buttons to press to make different moves. In baseball, there are curve balls, fly balls, spirals, and more, and it makes it realistic. Wii Fit works quite amazingly. You have to really concentrate to get it right, and although it is not as active, there are still mini-games such as boxing, step, yoga, and more to get your heart pumping.
People of all ages can enjoy the Wii. It informs parents to get their kids off the couch in a way that the kids will enjoy. It promotes family time and is very enjoyable to play with multiple people. Although you could just decide to choose to loose the video games in all, if you want a better way to play video games, it is very easy to revert to the Wii.
There really is no contest when it comes to choosing between the Wii and the Playstation 3.The Wii wins by a landslide.
