How to apply makeup

Not only a make up artist can apply professional looking make up, if you follow a few simple steps you will also be able to apply make up in a professional looking manner. Most people assume that a make up artist will apply perfect make up, but they to need to practice their technique.

Below I am going to list some helpful tips on applying make up in a professional manner.

Lots of people tend to have dark circles under their eyes. To cover these always use make up which is a lighter toned color than your skin, apply the make up to the dark areas by gently patting the make up onto the dark areas starting at the socket of the eye and working towards the nose sides. This should cover any unwanted circles.

To make eye lashes curly you can use a lash curler. This is better used after you have had a bath or shower, the warm water makes it easier to curl the eye lashes. Another way to curl your eyelashes is to apply two coats of mascara, apply the first coat and allow it to dry then apply the second coat; this will also curl your eye lashes and also make them resistant.

Heat will make foundation look natural, so when you apply foundation heat your hands up by rubbing them together and press them to your face. For anyone who has tired looking eyes, using a blue colored eye shadow will help to hide the tired look. However, if you do have tired looking eyes then try to avoid using colors such as red or purple as this will only make the problem worse.

To make a special effect on your eyes, apply the eye make up and then try to dab the eyeliner as close to the lash line as you can; this will certainly add definition to your eyes.

Some people make their own lipstick. This can be easily done by rubbing your finger on some lip balm and then into some colored powder, tap your fingers to remove any access powder and then you are ready to apply. Obviously this is a good one to remember in case you ever happen to forget your lipstick when you're out and about.

Always try to remember that when you are applying make up, especially eye or lip make up, try to do so while you are at your dressing table. This will allow you to have a steady hand and therefore you will achieve a better result.

I hope these tips help you to apply your make up just as perfect as a make up artist; it will become easier with time and practice.
