Happiness is subjective. For some it means getting everything they want whenever they like, for others it can be as simple as being content with that they have. So which one can you relate to? Personally I'd consider the latter is much easier to achieve.
As it is truly within your power to be content and satisfy with what you have. Because although the first is very much appealing, I mean who doesn't want to get that perfect partner in life, or live in your dream house, or have that promotion you always thought you've earned. Surprisingly, when you get them, you're not necessarily be the happiest person alive. Because that perfect person might not be the right one for you, and your dream house lies next door to a person you hate, or that promotion comes with the responsibility that make you live apart from your loved ones.
Not trying to get your hopes down, but just laying down the hard cold facts that life is full of surprises. It constantly gives you things you'd never expected. So if you want to achieve happiness, you really need to start from within yourself. These are some steps you could try starting now:
1 Smile. If you think it's too difficult, try closing your eyes, think all the places you wanted to visit and imagine you are there doing all the stuffs you wanted to do. Now open your eyes and catch that smile on your face,
2.Fill your life with laughter. Even when you think life is treating you badly, try to see humor in everything you see. I must remind you to keep the laughter under control, because if you ended up laughing out loud in a funeral, I guarantee there would be some unhappy people around.
3. Have hope. Life is just like a wheel. Sometimes you're up, and the next you're down. So the next time you're feeling low, just believe that it won't last forever. And if you happened to be having a great time, don't fret it. Just enjoy your moment.
4. Believe in yourself. You have everything to offer. Just as much as the next person. The only thing that make a difference is if you can recognize your strength and weaknesses and project them correctly, you would be able to achieve control over your life. I mean, you can't get that girl you fancied if you never ask her out can you? And if she says no, you always can go to point 3.
5. Forgive. Forgive everyone you know, and then forgive yourself. This might be the hardest thing to do, but you can't imagine how powerful it is. Once you can unlock that forgiveness door within your heart, you would be able to feel at peace. And that is very crucial in order to achieve happiness.
Start with the simplest step, and beam that smile to everyone you meet. Before you know it, you'd feel your heart lighter and that my friend, is certainly would make you feel much happier.
