The daily occurance of a reflection
All too familiar to me,
Brings about a common sequence
Of events caused naturally.
I see the face, I trace the action
Which inspires an intriguing thought,
The emotional camera takes a picture
To capture what time has wrought.
The events of the past are not erased,
The present seems less fair,
The question of the future remains
However, hidden there.
The years that have come and gone
Have made the photograph clearer
For me ponder each right or wrong
By looking in the mirror.
