Cures for dry hair

Brittle, crinkly, split end dry hair need not be. It is the number one complaint about the tresses that frame faces. Dry hair can be a product sign of internal health, a victim of environmental abuse, or designed by chemical hazards.

As age comes upon us, losing mineral and vitamins is an inevitable plight of the beautiful woman. One of the places it shows up is in graying tresses of hair. A dietary supplement that some may want to take into a daily routine is silica and calcium. These two minerals not only strengthen hair but also benefit bones, nails and skin. Quartz crystals make Silica.

For the young beauties that need not endure this ageless plight at this time, taking notice of healthy food choices now will ensure less likely mineral and vitamin deficiency. Balanced foods of vegetables and fruits are essential for the body to combat against any hair dryness that may result from health deficiency.

As for environmental dryness, there are as many choices to choose from, as there are physical activities to enjoy and as many creative remedies to select. One such activity that I indulged when young was roasting my skin next to a sea salted ocean. The salt alone turns hair into scare. A common solution for sun and salt damaged hair is leaving a light coating of cream rinse before baking. Another environmental hazard to come across is desert winds. Winds not only dry out hair, but also skin, nails, and everything else. The most beneficial solution for this type of attack is olive oil and egg. Just mix and slather well for 20 minutes before shampooing. Of course, there are now many over the counter moisturizers to choose from

Chemical abuse comes in many forms for dry hair. From multicolored dyes, bleach from peroxide and acid perms or alkaline perms, to some horrendous lice killing liquids. The ingredients may vary from ammonia and hydrogen peroxide for dying the hair shaft to extreme insecticidal Pyrethrin. An insecticidal found in over the counter remedies for human lice.

Remedies for chemical treatments will most likely be in the moisturizing arena such as oils, creams, fruits and vegetables. Olive oil, peanut oil, sesame oil are old time favorites where creams containing vitamin A or E are moisture feeding and vitamin feeding. . Some fruits as in bananas and avocados are great for a quick pick me up. Wind whipped hair tends to like smashed carrots. Not only does this moisturize but also brings out red highlights in brown hair.

Dry hair need not be a horror picture show. Answers for every type of dilemma in a woman's seek for the perfect beauty coiffure that enhances her looks will always be around. The wisdom archived in a beauty salon or found in a fridge is where you can find answers to overcoming challenges of dry hair. So enjoy experiment and laugh the next time you see a sun roasted, brittle haired smiling face look back at you from the mirror.
