Small businesses which develop their own advertising campaigns give themselves a chance to succeed in their small businesses. Too often small businesses make the mistake of running their business with too little advertising,and this will hurt your revenue for the firm, you must advertise to make a profit in your business. I will offer some tips to put together an inexpensive advertising campaign.
1) Research how small and large businesses in business field advertise for their product or service. Do they have advertising on the Internet using small ads, or do they send out news release by way of the Internet as well as sending them out in direct mail packages, can you advertise your business using websites like Helium.com using specific articles which highlight your products, do you run seminars and advertise your product, do you write letters to the editor at your trade or local newspaper. What about starting a blog, which you can write about your business, products, and reasons for buying from you.
2) The key to success in your advertising program is to test, test, and test all advertising ideas? Did the advertisement idea get you any sales. If you ran an advertisement in a magazine, what was the response? Did you get l00 responses for more information on your product? Now how many sales did you get from the advertisement? If the ad cost you $l00 and you got 20 responses, and only 10 people purchased your product and spent the $l0 for the product, you simply broke even(l0X10=$l00) you spent $l00 and you got $l00 in sales from the advertisement. Make your advertisements pay.
3)You cannot succeed in advertising until you set up an advertising program for January lst, until the end of the year. Nothing happens in you business until make sales, and bring money into the business, and once you get the customer, you must continue to sell her, until she becomes a lifelong customer, she will buy from you for the rest of her life, this is what you need to build your business into the most successful one. You are the advertising manager of your business, you have all the skills, talents and abilities needed to succeed in this role, and you can build your business at the same time. Continue to make your advertising campaign better each year, and relate it directly to the sales and marketing programs, so there is a blending of all functions together, and your customers know where to find you, and buy from you.
