When it rains in the spring I close my eyes
a symphony as it plays upon my roof
Waves of showers against the window pane
torrential as it storms; steady as it calms
A gentle mist coats the leaves
droplets delicately fall to the ground
The sun breaks through the angry, black clouds
thousands of diamonds brilliantly shimmer
A canopy of green; a blanket of color
creation of God's mighty hand
