The myth of a secret to happiness.

Happiness is the warm feeling in your heart when you have greeted the day in the right way and know that you have harmed nothing in this world. It is that feeling of being in love or looking at a snow capped mountain, or sitting by the tranquil lake at sunset, or by a warm fire at night. But hey! These are only experiences and in reality you must be steady and interact with the beautiful world around you and give back as much as you take. Many find happiness contemplating their existence but when time is ticking by you cannot spend to much time thinking about why you are here. You are, so get on with it and challenge the world you see around you. With due respect to those who lock themselves away in convents and monasteries, there is only so long you can pray and stare at a golden Buddha. The secret of happiness is a "myth" if you lock yourself away from the world and don't interact. For in the interaction lies the secret to happiness.

It is no secret, it is a fact that happiness can be gained by your appreciation of what we were given by the Great Creator. For it was all designed in the first place for just that, a garden of Eden. What has happened to block the happiness of many of the earth's population has been the unscrupulous search for human power to dominate conquer and crush anything in their way, including human life.
By blocking someone's happiness and consigning their chance to hell, you have actually consigned yourself there first. So let's hope all who have followed this dictatorial path are burning now.

The first ingredient you need for happiness is personal freedom and to live in a country that allows this. For in freedom you feel a glow inside and a motion like warm waves lapping on the shore. You will know this feeling once you experience it, and you will be dancing laughing and spreading your vibrant energy to others once they see your example. Happiness now seems to be a warm gun, in John Lennon's words, but that is only in the minds of soldiers or the depraved and really we should say happiness is a warm bed, preferably with your wife and soul mate. Or happiness is the child looking so innocently into your eyes for an answer to this world they have been born into.

Happiness is a state of mind, but also action is it's catalyst. This is imperative for it is like asking God for everything without doing some of the work to facilitate good things. So it has been said work is love made visible, which sums up part of the equation of happiness. The other part is a following of the truth in what ever you do. The straight road is the best. Don't get sidetracked on those side roads, which usually are planted with the seeds of unhappiness. The grass is not always greener on the other side.

Happiness is in the air, clutch it, savor it, it is free and every sunrise gives it rebirth. The secret is to adopt this attitude and realize you only have so many years in which to experience it . As Neil Young once said, "Once you've gone you can't come back". So make the most of life and if you are down and unhappy look to the horizon and know you will get to that bright light shining on you and it will make you feel warm and alive and HAPPY.
