I have written this article to help those who would like to promote their Helium articles with links and social bookmarking. I hope you enjoy this article.

If we visit any writing site on the internet, they all mention about linking your content to social bookmarking sites. Why? The reason being is that they are the key ways of driving quality, unique traffic to your articles which will increase those Helium earnings that we sometimes look upon and sigh.

It sounds very easy to say that linking to an article would be easy as pie. This is quite true, but we need to re-think and establish where we can place the links to hit the achieving goals.

Social bookmarking! I think have heard this enough!

This might be something that you have heard about before but it is the main way we can bring our achieving goals into life! One site that I would recommend is Twitter. Once you link your helium account on Twitter, your latest published articles will appear without you doing anything. This is a great way to save a writer's time from posting countless links on the site which can be quite annoying and tiring. But the site has given us a great way to link our account and sit back to see the increasing traffic being driven to our articles.

This is a social network that no one should miss. I have received several hits due to this site and I would recommend it. You will not be disappointed for trying it out.

All the while, do remember that you should follow other users of Twitter as you will be gaining yourself more followers. By sitting down on the couch with your hands in the air will not work if you do not wish to participate in the Twitter community.

What about the other social networks? Aren't they any good?

There is several numbers of social networks today on the internet. The three most popular are Facebook, MySpace and Bebo. You can also use these three sites to get the word out for your writing.

However, your purpose should not only be to link your Helium articles. We should use these social networks to socialize as well by reading other people's work and commenting on them. This way your articles will receive more traffic from the members you had visited.

Links on personal blogs and websites

You should use your own blog or website to bring traffic to your Helium articles. Add your descriptions to your articles which will let the audience know what they are reading. If you receive thousands of monthly visitors, there is no guarantee that your articles will not be read!
