When I first saw the title of this article my instincts told me that I sure hope so. By the world standards I am anything but a model. I need to lose approximate 50 pounds. This is made more difficult because I am physically disabled and unable to exercise in a way that would help me to lose the extra weight around my mid section. Furthermore, very many years of treatment with steroids to control health related issues has left me with a complexion that is less than perfect. Failure by my father to maintain dental insurance for his children has left me with teeth that are anything but straight. With all of this being said I hope that there are people who would get involved with a person that the world does not consider beautiful. I tend to look at physical appearance last in a relationship because the beauty of a person can fade but intellect and emotional connection can last forever if both members of the relationship make a promise and commitment to completely stay focused on being loyal to each other.

There is not now nor has their ever been a universal code for what is considered beautiful. Each individual has their own definitions of what they find attractive. Some people like individuals that are completely thin, whereas others tend to find a more stocky buildto be attractive.While it is true that love is blind, lust has its eyes wide-open but often has its brain turned off. This means the people are focused on sexual pleasure and gratification but might not seek the complete picture about a person. Therefore these relationships cannot last long-term. Personally I would rather have a partner that is considered average looking but has significant depth to their personality and emotional stability then someone that is considered a beauty queen that the entire world looks up to. If you are consumed with looks you may completely miss the perfect person for you in every way. The definition of true love is unconditional acceptance. Therefore a person's physical appearance should not interfere with your ability to love them without question. When he does the relationship that you have is most likely based on lust and not love.

Many people have difficulty in determining when love is present in their life. This is because it has become so inverted and perverse in our society net we no longer have a clear standard of what love should be tidy.
