The question of the viability of the Christian faith has been an issue for western culture for many years. The issue seems to revolve around the central issue of the survival of Christianity. Can Christianity continue in the face of secular reasoning and logic? There are several reasons Christianity will continue in society.

Answers to the fundamental questions of life
Christianity offers genuine answers for some of the great questions of life. As society continues to see the futility of pursuing material wealth and worldly success, there will be a search for deeper truths.
Christianity answers the questions such as: Why am I here, what is my purpose, and how should I live like nothing else. The issue is that most people fail to stop and listen. Christianity not only has the answers to these fundamental questions of life but often the best answers.
Continuation of the Faith
One of the greatest truths of the Christian faith is that God never forces anyone to do anything against their personal wishes. Christianity is always a personal choice to accept the sacrifice of Christ on the cross and live according to His Lordship. In essence, Christians believe that Jesus died to become our savior and was raised on Easter to become our Lord.
Since Christianity is a personal choice and God never forces us to choose Him, Christianity is always only one generation from dying out. Christian faith is only perpetuated by those who are already believe. No one who is not already Christian would feel the desire to spread the faith.
The New Testament teaches that Christians are the Children of God. Each person enters the faith and family of God by choice and become a child of God. Since this is an individual choice and occurs on an individual basis there are no grandchildren of God. No one enters the faith simply because their family members are Christian. Each person makes their own choice to accept or reject the Lordship of Christ.
Worldwide Impact
More of the compassionate outreach done in third world countries comes through Christian missions. Christians are more likely to give to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, reach the hurting, and meet needs of the desperate. The central motivation of Christianity is not the perpetuation of the faith like critics many believe. Christian missions are primarily motivated out of compassion and goodwill. Christians reach out to others and lend help because that is what Jesus Himself did. Christians follow the example of the master and minister to the needs of others.
In some ways, the Christian faith is always dying out. The Christian faith is also, always being renewed. Each new generation adds to the body of believers and continues to spread the faith to more and more people. Each generation brings new challenges to the Christian faith but with those challenges are also new opportunities to continue the faith.
