On a summer's day towards dusk,
The rizing pitch of wheel and spoke,
The cool breeze rushing past!
The stucotto, emerald sight,
Of trees and bushes as they slip by.
Shoved back in seat by acceleration,
As feet quicken their pace on the pedals.
Perchance lean steeply in a turn,
Like a pilot in a plane,
Road bike responding swiftly,
Cutting edge your senses feel.
Great joy is had tonight,
Moving swiftly on two wheels,
Endorphin rush as well,
As speed to your feelings appeal!

Poetry: Bicycle days
by Wanda
My old bicycle
Is far away
Like my old days.
My green grasshopper
My dear mate
Is out of date.
And so am
There is nothing better than a bike,
This is the transport I most like.
It makes you lean,
And is most green,
Out energy you
One day my aunt and I
who were barely in our teens
jumped on a graveyard bound bike
we thought we had control of it
Ha!
hop on
click in
roll out
ahhh, freedom.
flat road
easy start
warm air
sunshine.
blue sky
cottony clouds
where do i go?
anywhere i want.
Bike Poem
I glide on two wheels over the streets of this town
while the cool evening breeze laps my cheeks
And the night
