Energy:
In this case the Earth heat itself is turned into a source pf energy. It works by building a power station that would generate energy by tapping into the Earth's Crust from kilometres deep.
The actual construction of the station is quite costly but it results in a very cost effective energy source once it is up and running. Such stations exist in the Yellowstone basin in the USA.

Renewable energy sources are virtually clean, however, in order to exploit them infrastructures need to be built and the process may generate waste and pollution.
It has been also argued that some of those renewable energy are actually doing more harm than good to the environment.
Biofuels are in the front line on that regard. Scientists and environmentalists alike have advanced the theory that by extensively harvesting crops, we were indeed using up much needed water supplies, and we were accentuating the release of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere hence worsening global warming.
Of all renewable energy, wind, is the cleanest and the most environmentally friendly. It is also one of the most energy productive on a land per kilowatt-hour ratio with solar power.
Apart from cosmetic issue, wind farm do not disrupt agricultural activity and it is therefore of the most favoured solution by many Governments.
The exploitation of renewable energy sources may be costly at first but its benefit for our environment are undeniable. We need to understand that we cannot keep polluting our planet for the sake of power. Besides the day of the petrol industry are numbered. We need to think of alternatives that will not cause the destruction of our climate and ecosystem.
Our gas guzzling ways have caused the Earth to hit up dangerously, and we are experiencing the effect of global warming more than ever before.
Renewable energy is our future.
