Poetry: Self-awareness

by Ian Peek

Created on: January 28, 2007   Last Updated: May 14, 2007

What's this inside the glass I see,
That seems to move along with me?

I really do not understand
How it can know what I'd not planned!

Like then, just when I moved my hand
It did so too, well I'll be damned.

Hang on a sec, I get it now.
I understand the reason how!

That thing I see before me there,
It's me!
I see!
I'm self-aware!
