I look at you, you look at me
we know we've had a history
questions I don't need to know
have all been answered long ago
I've known you many times before
I know this to my very core
cresting on the winds of time
always sharing the same line
You're an empress in one place in time
a tiger in another time
a butterfly that's floating free
a crashing wave upon the beach
It's funny how life goes and goes
one look and suddenly we know
a gust of wind turns back a door
I've known this woman times before
if fate will intervene again
we'll share another life, my friend
like two leaves upon a vine
we'll fall to earth and intertwine
