I have been writing for Associated Content for a few years. I started off as a writer with Associated Content, and have published hundreds of articles there and earned a lot of money through their upfront payment offers.
The pros of writing at Associated Content:
*You can decide what level of rights you will grant for each submission. Your options are Exclusive, Non Exclusive and Display Only.
*You can earn upfront payment offers that range from less than one dollar to $20 per accepted articles.
*You will receive payment for articles sold extremely fast. At Associated Content you do not have to wait for the end of the month. There is no minimum balance for withdrawing funds, which is fantastic.
*You can earn monthly performance payments for page views. With a solid base of readers you can earn a nice monthly payment, all content earns revenue as long as you publish at least one article every three months.
*You can easily share your content with others via face book, twiter and similar applications.
*You can submit content on basically any subject, as well as photos, slide shows and videos.
*You do not have to rate articles to earn revenue.
The cons of writing at Associated Content:
*Associated Content is a very popular outlet for writers. Some subjects have so much content that your upfront payment offers will be really low, or the articles will be declined for payment.
*Review times for upfront payment offers and publication can be extremely long. Most content is reviewed within maybe 5 days, but sometimes you will see your articles sitting there for much longer.
*The user comment system really sucks, frequently I have to delete rude, obscene and unrelated comments. I value feedback on my writing, but when 15 year olds are leaving comments about "your mom" or someone is leaving comments that refer to you by name that is a little annoying.
*Upfront payment offers have dropped dramatically in the past year. I used to average about $7 per article, but as of lately I am seeing around $3.67 per article, for the same length and quality of article.
All in all Associated Content is a great and legitimate outlet for publishing your work and earning money. It is one of the few places where you can really earn money just for writing. There is no required participation as you find on helium with rating and shared reviews with voting. If you have an interest in writing I would encourage you to check out Associated Content.
