Save Water, Go Green...Lawn Painting Alternative

"Going Green" is the theme these days. We have come to realize that the resources that were once taken for granted, may not be as ample as we had once believed. From recycling to reduce waste to researching the most fuel economy vehicles, people are going above and beyond to preserve our planet and its most precious resources. With drought conditions in many states, people are trying to find even more effective ways to preserve water, while still maintaining the aesthetics of their hard earned investments (property.)

Water...one of the most mandatory resources for civilization, is being wasted in record numbers by millions of consumers each and every day. Leaky faucets, unmonitored sprinkler systems and several other wasteful habits of consumers, contribute to the increasing deficit in the lake levels that lead to mandatory water restrictions across the U.S. Despite such water restrictions, homeowners continue the almost defeating effort of watering their lawns to keep their lawns green, but only to find they have hit a brick wall when harsh climate conditions drain the resources faster than they can be pumped out.

But what if there was an alternative?

Water conservation efforts are on the rise, but conserving water does not have to mean a sacrifice in the beauty of your lawn. If you could save water and keep your lawn looking great all year round with minimal effort, wouldn't you want to know how?

Look no more, lawn painting is the answer.

Lawn painting? It tends to sound less eco-friendly when you combine the term "paint" with "lawn," however, there is actually a specially formulated dye that is 100% safe for the environment and that has been used by professional landscapers on golfing turf and professional sporting fields for years. Ever wonder how those lawns look lush and green all year long? Now you know.

Lawn painting, otherwise known as grass painting or lawn dying, is a technique that professionals use to color dormant or dead grass. The dye is a combination of colorant and ammonia, which breaks down and actually serves as an added fertilizer for the grass. Once applied, the dye lasts up to 3-4 months and does not stain or wash away. It does not harm the environment, nor does it harm children or pets. This technique virtually eliminates the added costs of fertilizing, seeding and most importantly...watering.

Although the application technique is not really recommended for the average, "do-it-yourselfer,"
