Typing jobs from home. Are they worth it? In my opinion are absolutely worth all of the time and effort that is needed to make such a career work. Every single article placed on Helium is someone writing from home either trying to get some exposure, or trying to earn extra money. We as writers just need to keep in mind that not all jobs are real jobs. There are a lot of companies out there on the web that try to hire people under the belief that they will be typing at home for money, and then send them to some survey site that they will probably never see a single penny from. I don't consider that a typing job at all. Or there are sites out there who will convince people to pay for information on how to "break into" the world of typing jobs. Anyone who knows me or my work knows that I am completly against paying someone to work for them. I have never dont it, and never will. A real gig pays you, not the other way around. There are however legitimate typing jobs that are available to people that are willing to look for the diamond in the rough. Helium is one of those diamonds. This site allows us to express our opinions and we are actually compensated for the time that we take into creating an article or response.

When searching for a "typing job" I would recommend against just going to Google and searching for "typing jobs." Your chances of finding something that is legitimate would be to search for "Independent Contractors," or "freelance writers." A quick search under "freelance writers" will pull up sites such as Helium, Associated Content, and Constant Content. All perfectly legitimate ways to type from home and earn money. One word of advice would be to Google any company that you are considering working with to get an idea of what its users are saying about it. If many people are saying that the site is a scam then its best to move on and spend your time finding something that really is going to provide you with the income that you want, and need.

Another way to earn money from home my "typing" would be to start a blog. You can blog about anything. A lot of people choose to create a blog that helps others who are interested in working from home. You can then add Google's AdSence to your blog, and you earn a small commission each time someone clicks on an ad that is on your page.

There are people, myself included to earn their entire living online with writing and freelance sites. It honestly is one of the hardest things that I have decided to take on in my life, yet is something that I am very proud to do. Writers generally cannot be fired which in this economy is a wonderful thing. Bottom line is if you are wondering if you can really make a living from home with these types of jobs, I'm the proof that yes you can.
