Can you stay calm in times of chaos?

For most folks remaining calm in the headwinds of a chaotic storm can seem virtually impossible. How does one remain calm? If you lost your job, spouse strayed, electricity got cut off or any number of terrible things that can befall one's life and spiral it into chaos. What do you do?

When faced with what at the time seems like insurmountable odds, nothing is going to plan. What the heck do you do? If one more person tells you it's going to be OK, this to shall pass, you are sure you will just scream.

As much as you may not want to hear this, the words this to shall pass ring truth. No matter how bad the problems you have faced in your life, eventually they pass. What can give some comfort is that not even God makes a storm that lasts forever. Marilyn Monroe once said "Sometimes your life has for fall to peices before it can fall together." Truer words have never been spoken!

Here are some simple steps that will bring you relief now!

Don't sit at home alone. Don't isolate yourself. Connect with friends and family, someone who makes you feel good to be with.

Breathe, sit down in a nice quiet spot and simply breathe. Deep cleansing breaths in through the nose out through the mouth.

Yoga a great source of relaxation.

Jam out to some great music! Sing!

If you stay busy, this will help more than just about anything. Remember when negative thoughts come in your head, "CANCEL , CANCEL, CANCEL" say these words and get the negative thoughts replaced with positive thoughts. Also remember if you are sitting around saying "I Can't" you are exactly right! Get the negative out of your head. Keep repeating positive thoughts into your mind. Forget how stupid you might think that is and just do it. Don't think, do it!

You have to imagine yourself as the commander of a huge ship being barraged with bombs, gun fire and all hell has broken loose. Do you think you would survive curling up in a ball in your cabin? Or do you get calm, cool and collected and begin to get yourself out of harms way. If you have a family that counts on you, do you allow your children to see you give up? Nor would a ship Capitan let his men see him give up either. Calm, cool and collected, it takes time to master this ability. But you can master it.

Take a walk, ride a bike, workout, go to Yoga. All of these things will help release tension and stress. Allowing you to find the calm that you seek. Calm will allow you to find your way out of the darkness and into the light. Besides what have you got to loose but stress. Give it a go!

Can you stay calm? Yes!
