God is only known by most people, saved and unsaved, for what He has done. They know the hand of God but not the heart of God. People know about "In the beginning God created the heavens and earth." Reading or hearing about the creation, we see the hand of God at work. Then we see God's hand at work as He formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into man's nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. We see the hand of God raising up a nation and leading them into the promise land. He cared for them, protected them, and even punished them for disobedience.

We see the hand of God raising up prophets, priest and kings to lead, teach and protect His people. We see the hand of God in sending His only begotten Son to die for the sin of the world. We see Jesus coming, teaching, healing, delivering and setting people free. Most people see that as the hand of God and not the heart of God. We can find many conversations about the works of God and all the He has, is and will do. God is even blamed for things He didn't do. But when we only know God for what he does, we will blame Him for everything, good and bad. Some people say, "He's God right. He lets things happen. He could have stopped it." They are only looking at what they think, God has done.

Then there are Christians that only know God for what he does. Some know Him as the Healer. He heals someone that was sick and now God is known as the Healer. He is known for what He can do. And yet, those same people never know Him through a personal relationship with Him. He's known only by what He does. God is God and He will be God, even if He is never known for Who He is. The one that never knows Him for Who He is, he or she is the one that will miss out. God wants to bless us and meet our needs but He wants us to desire to know Him for Who He is.

People are always talking about what God has done for them. You can hear many testimonies about what God is doing, has done and what people are believing He will do for them. Most people are in need of something or some kind of help. Prayers are going up because people want relief from situations in their lives. So what is needed is help. And people all over the world are waiting for God to do something about their situations. He is God, right. And some situations will need the hand of God to move. And when He moves, then we will hear what He did. And He may still not be known for Who He is.

It is good to know God can and will work in our lives. Yes, it's good to have our prayers answered. But God's love should draw us closer to Him. We should want to know Him for Who He is. He is FATHER. Once we get to know Him as FATHER, we'll see that there is nothing He won't hold back from His children. He always does what is best for His children.
