The Pig and the chicken were taking a walk down the street one day. They walked passed a church and all of a sudden, the chicken got the "anointing".
The chicken says to the pig, "Hey, why don't we make a donation?"
"Great idea, I'm down for that!" The pig shouts back.
"Why don't we donate some ham and eggs?" the chicken says, proud of himself.
Excited and wide eyed, the pig says, "that's perfect, I never would've thought"
He all a sudden stops and shuns back from the chicken saying, "Hey, wait, wait, just a minute now. Come on, Mr. Chicken. Lets look at this seriously now - you're just making a little contribution, but I have to make a total commitment'".
TOTAL COMMITMENT
Without our commitment to safe schools, our kids are as vulnerable as a toddler crossing a busy highway. So many schools around the country say they want to prevent violence, but when the rubber meets the road, they pull a "whodini". The main reason most school boards don't truly support the students as they claim is do to politics.
Politics in the school systems proves city and school board officials are more interested in promoting personal and national agendas like the no child left behind rule. "This probably did more for destroying the culture of learning in the classroom than any other law passed - ever," according to my wife Ivy, a former elementary school teacher for ten years. Other political agendas like the pro-homosexual agenda, sex education, abortion, and keeping prayer out of schools are ensuring America is raising a generation of kids use to death, violence, fear and disease. The school system is supposed to be trailblazing bright futures, hope, and fulfilled dreams, not a back entrance to Hell.
C'mon on school officials around the country - you're better than that.
"Zero tolerance" will stop a whole lot of the crime in these schools and show true commitment to stopping violence. I think we all can agree that were tired of turning on the nightly news and hearing about another "Columbine." Once zero tolerance is implemented country wide, the juveniles will realize that everyone from the police to the superintendent, all the way to the janitor are involved in the safety of the students.
The "good" students have no confidence in a weak and watered down system that basically wont protect them until they are running for there lives out of the cafeteria because the "loner" Johnny lost his mind after playing too many violent video games. Kids are too busy trying to build a reputation of toughness
