Adjoined by hearts; divided by pride
Proud display; painful beneath
A tender touch; a distant stare
Together in flesh; apart within
Proud display; painful beneath
Your similes bright; your eyes are cold
Together in flesh; apart within
Trapped by duty; unable to run
Your smiles bright; your eyes are cold
I cry all alone; your laughter resounds
Trapped by duty; unable to run
Comfort in warmth; distance is cold
I cry all alone; your laughter resounds
Glancing your way; I see you no more
Comfort in warmth; distance is cold
Adjoined by hearts; divided by pride

Proud display; painful beneath
A tender touch; a distant stare
Together in flesh; apart
Poetry: Divided
Has your mind ever took a day, and ran away?
Along with hopes and dreams?
Between tears, and smiles, both
