God loves all men.(1 John 4:9-11) The Lord is patient because He does not want 'anyone to perish' - He commanded us all to repent.(2 Peter 3:9) That is when men abandon the sinful desires that God hates.(Romans 1:24) The command is 'repent and live'.(Ezekiel 18:32) Understand this: God created man, and He loves man, but His anger burns hot against the sins of man.(Exodus 32:10)

Not only does the Lord hate the practice of homosexuality, but He hates adultery, sex outside of marriage, idolatry, etc.(Deuteronomy 16:21,22) God did not create man for 'sexual immorality'.(1 Corinthians 6:13) Various sexual sins of unrepentant men kindle the anger of God.(Jeremiah 15:14) Unclean desires lead the sinful straight towards destruction, even the eternal flames of hell.(Mark 9:43) But God sent his Son to save the world - to rescue men from the flames.(1 Thessalonians 1:10) This was how He revealed His love for us.(1 John 4:9)

In Deuteronomy 1:27, God heard people complaining about how the Lord 'hates' them; that He delivered them from oppression in Egypt so that the Amorites could annihilate them. Why would the Lord save them to destroy them right away? God allows men to go through various trials in order build 'perseverance' and bring out 'character', which then leads to 'hope'.(Romans 5:3,4) Men must put their hope in the One who can deliver them from the bondage of sin - from being a slave to sin.(Romans 8:24,25) A parent disciplines a son for his own good; to train him to be responsible, so that he does not grow up to become a thug.(Hebrews 12:6) It is a mistake to confuse the discipline of God with hate.(Proverbs 3:12)

The Bible expressly states that homosexuals (arsenokoits) will not inherit the kingdom of God, nor will idol worshipers, adulterers or male prostitutes.(1 Corinthians 6:9) Men are commanded to literally 'flee from sexual immorality'.(1 Corinthians 6:18) Along with the sexually immoral, God will also bar those who practice theft, greed, drunkenness, slander and fraud. Men who sow evil in God's creation will 'reap' evil, and will be destroyed by the 'blast of his anger'.(Job 4:8,9) God hates those sins, not those who sin. God hates homosexuality, not the men who cultivate lust. On the great day of judgment, He will judge the sinner.(2 Timothy 4:1) The only way to be spared from wrath is through Jesus.(John 14:6) Repent, and 'cast all your anxiety on Him'.(1 Peter 5:7)
