Karma isn't always easy to see, but it's certainly there. Every action has a reaction as the physicists put it, the same is true within the spiritual realm. Good acts and good thoughts are building blocks off a good life, just as the opposite is true. The positive energies released through prayer, meditation or otherwise connecting with our spiritual sides cast a loving glow across all areas of our lives, and this can be considered part of good karma. By focusing on positive things and feeling the wonder and love that we can all have, you're opening yourself to further goodness.
Just as seeing the sunlight can hurt one's eyes after sitting for hours in dark movie theatre, sudden flashes of the greatness of life can be a shock as well. For example a thief inherits a nice home, and the thief will always worry about someone trying to take that home away from them, as they've taken so much away from others. A loving, giving person would not fret about losing that home, as their focus in life is upon sharing they'd likely envision inviting all their friends into that home. By their different perceptions of the same situation, the thief and the loving person experience very different reactions to their inheritance. This is true across many aspects of life.
By seeing the loving beauty of all you encounter, you'll be perceived as a loving and beautiful person. This reflection of ourselves into the world as we see it is at the heart of karma. Seeing life as a gift can make the challenging moments into chances to grow. When life is seen as a curse, these stumbling blocks become mountains of woes rather than springboards for change. By taking a positive outlook, you're accepting the gift of a wonderful life to decorate with the friends and memories you'll happen to meet on your journey. A down-trodden attitude will result in lackluster days of mundane chores, so whistle while you work and enjoy the little things.
While it may be easier to see karma when someone known for being dishonest is hauled off to jail, karma is just as real when it's small. A smiling thank you' for holding a door can make you smile back, and that smile can last all day. Being mindful of karma in daily life should be automatic, kindness doesn't cost a thing and it makes everyone feel good. Karma is there for everyone, all the time. By opening yourself to the goodness and love of the universe, you're accepting a great gift. Knowing that you're doing the right thing feels good. By feeling good, you're setting an example to others of what goodness can be, and that's what's really beautiful about karma, it spreads like wildfire when people find out that being good feels good.
