Poetry: Dreams do come true

by Kimberly Morin

Created on: March 23, 2009

I sit here alone

With no place to call home

My life is so plain

Everyday is the same

I wish for a mom

To rock me to sleep

And talk to me sweetly

As I sigh with relief

As I look in her eyes

I see her blonde hair

I thank God above

For my mommy does care

And then I wake up

And realize this dream

Was not real at all

Although it did seem

I close my eyes tight

And open once more

To see a girl watching

Whom I've seen before

A girl with blonde hair

And eyes of sky blue

Could it really be

That my dream has come true?

As we start a new

Together we share

A lifelong of memories

For my mommy does care

Dreams can come true

When you wish them the most

My secret lies here

Now you be the host!
