reason that the decisions made by individuals also have an impact. Consumer choices cannot be separated from other actions we take, as like anything else we do they require resources and result in waste. They also impact relations between individuals, as in how employers are permitted to treat their workers, and the environment in the degree of resource depletion, degradation, and pollution companies can get away with. If there is any doubt about whether a corporation cares what the consumer thinks about how it does business, one need only look at eco-friendly ad campaigns and "green" re-packaging and ask how much these changes cost. For an entity that cares only about its bottom line to spend so much time and money on R & D to convince you, the consumer, that it is making wise decisions, the individual must make a difference.
